Fahrenheit 9/11

I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 last night with , , and others. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is definitely worth seeing.

I’m actually cross-posting, because I’m lazy, so the thoughts on the movie that I’ve written up are already lurking over on the SCCS forums.

Note that many of you Swatties who read my LJ are eligible for a forum account (any .swarthmore.edu e-mail address will suffice), so you should, you know, get one.

  1. Sorry. I’d be curious to see your comments, but i have enough accounts and online timesinks as is. :>(

  2. There’s an interesting article in this month’s Atlantic Monthly about how George W. Bush’s speaking style has changed over the years; it contrasts his debating record with that of John Kerry. Apparently Bush used to be a very savvy and intelligent speaker. As he went along his political career, he became more bumbling. Whaddaya think, eh?

  3. Note that you don’t have to have an account to read the forums…

  4. I think his southern accent is probably affected. He’s just trying to appeal to a certain demographic by seeming more like a “normal guy”.
