Still Not Packed

As usual, I am in full-on turbo crazy mode on the last day of the semester. I don’t know why this happens, but it always does. I haven’t really packed yet, although I have cleared out my closet, stuffed all of my dirty (and a small minority of clean) clothes into my duffel bags, organized various things into boxen, dismantled a few room things, and helped Emery get all of his stuff to storage in various places.

Right now we’re taking a short ramen-and-hot-sauce break. I’m starting to think about how I’m going to arrange my boxes. For starters, I’m not going to put all of my books in one box. That was a bad idea that lead to a 100-pound box. The fridge will be the last thing to go. I think Emery is going to sleep for a bit; some of this stuff may need to wait until the morning, when I can press-gang someone into helping me get it to Hicks.

Speaking of mooching, tonight I was able to convince Jake to (a) take me to Subway for dinner (I bought him a sandwich), and (b) he volunteered to take me to the airport, which means I won’t have to order a taxi or leave campus really early to take SEPTA.

  1. That was a bad idea that led to a 100-pound box.

Swarthmore so needs to have a FAQ, and this piece of information needs to be on it. Someone always does it. Fortunately, my personal worst-decision book box weighed in at only 58 pounds, but there were definitely much worse instances my frosh year.
