Photo Opportunity!!!

Emery and I found a really cool place to take a picture, although unfortunately neither of our cameras would be up to the task.

At the University City SEPTA station, there’s a long tube-like arch over the station platform. If you stand halfway down the stairs down to the platform, you can look all the way through it to the stairway on the other side.

I think it would be really cool to take a picture of someone through the archway of lights. The only problem is that our dinky little 2.1 megapixel point-and-shoot cameras couldn’t handle the contrast change from the lit archway to the dark stairway at the far end. You can see the other person with the naked eye, so there probably exists a camera that is good enough. Perhaps one of you has such a camera, and would find yourself in Philly with a friend…

  1. Ooh, that really is nifty. If I have my camera on my next time I end up riding in with somebody, I’ll see what I can do. I also have a reasonably dinky 2.1 MP point&shoot, but I have a little bit of optical zoom, which may help.
