You're comparing WoW to watching TV (it's better than), but in the middle of the sentence you switch to less than because you switched to 'the real thing'. I think you can rest assured that the first is true (WoW better than TV), and the second (WoW less than the real thing) is only debatable. ;) I would argue that it’s a bit different, given that it’s interactive and social, but I know a lot of people disparage online socialization as “not as good as the real thing”.
